    This Maduro cigar boasts a luxurious, dark Ecuadorian wrapper. Selected from Corte #7, the highest tier of tobacco used by Davidoff, where only two leaves per plant meet the demanding criteria to become Maduro wrappers.

    Notably thick and oily, these leaves require special care, with precise humidity and high temperatures unlocking their full potential, revealing a silky texture and a unique, complex flavour profile.

    Thriving under the sun's direct gaze, the upper leaves of the tobacco plant photosynthesize vigorously, building a wealth of sugars.

    Maduro leaves undergo a meticulously long 16-month fermentation, double the standard time. This extensive process is crucial in unlocking the rich, sweet notes associated with a Maduro wrapper.

    Davidoff eschews external heat sources, relying solely on the natural temperature generated within the fermentation piles. These piles undergo a rigorous 12-step flipping process, each requiring a dedicated 32 hours to complete for an entire Davidoff pile. The tobacco then rests in bales for two years to further develop its aroma.
